The title doesn't seem to fit in my problem but here it goes.
I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 using the Wubi installer on my Dell XPS Gen 2 laptop. So far Ubuntu is working fine. Here's my first problem. I have a lot of problems with the host OS, XP lately. I wanted to reformat my hdd but is there a way that I don't need to do the Wubi dance again? I have configured my Ubuntu to something like Mac OSX look alike, installed and customized Wine to get my favorite Windows games working, installed some nice movie/music players, etc. Can backing up and restoring the whole ubuntu folder in C:\ be sufficient enough to get me back to Ubuntu?
My second problem is my wireless. I can't connect to my WAP at home using Ubuntu 9. I never had problems with 8.1 though. My WAP is secured with WPA Personal. It doesn't connect even I type the correct password. A dialogue box keeps poping up saying my wireless access point needs authentication.
Any help is very much appreciated.
TIA
