Hi,

I just finished installing ubuntu on my computer and am completely new to linux. I am trying to install a flash player, but I cannot seem to get it to work. When I try to install the adobe flash plugin, I get this message:

"Error: Dependency is not Satisfiable: libcairo2"

I don't know if this helps or not, but I have ubuntu version 7.10, Gutsy Gibbon.

Thanks for your help!

Support for gutsy has ended. It would be best to install a newer version. 8.04 hardy is an LTS and you have the new jaunty 9.04 and Intrepid 8.10. I would recommend a clean install.

That is what I will do then, I didn't know that the distribution of ubuntu I received was so old...a friend gave it to me. 9.04 it is then, thanks for the advice!
