Anyone else like Mumbles?

I saw this and wondered what the difference between this and the new Jaunty notify-osd was... This grumbles seems to work with extra things like firefox and the like but I don't understand whether it is a duplicate project like AWN/Cairo dock Desklets/Screenlets Beryl/Compiz and how much of the code they may share or not. Confusing if you ask me!

Any one else have any info on the projects? But yes I'm very interested and like the two projects... i just don't know which is better.

I don't really understand all the fuss about notifications, I don't really care much what they look like. Saying that, I do use the Firefox addon:

FirefoxNotify (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=firefoxnotify)

which provides Ubuntu-like notifications in Firefox.

Mumbles is pretty old, and I think no longer actively being updated anymore.

there is a blog post dated april 25th saying he updated mumbles for jaunty....so it must be still updated.

I prefer the native Jaunty notification system. I really want to see it gain themeability at some point.
