Hi everyone,
I just installed Ubuntu 9.04. It only took up 2GB space and when I tried to run programs like vim, emacs, gcc it says it was not installed? I am very new to linux, only used it at uni but jus for programming so any help would be good on how to install these.
Also the main thing is, the packages, which one is good? is there a site where you can find the differences between them? How come vim/emacs etc done come installed already? seems like my version of ubuntu has nothing, not even gparted
thanks for help!
