installing ubuntu properly

hi im all new to ubuntu think its great though .i would like to know how can you tell if you have installed ubuntu jaunty properly is there a test that you can run to make sure its all running the right way can anyone help thanks

If it boots up, your video display is at the correct resolution, you have Internet access, and your applications run smoothly, then you have almost certainly installed it correctly.
