View Full Version : [all variants] Help, envyng screwed up my computer
June 2nd, 2009, 04:27 PM
I installed this envyng to find out the correct video card settings to put into my xorg file and when I restart I have a screen that looks like zebra print. So I boot into recovery mode and type envyng --uninstall-all like it says to on the web site but I get bash : command not found.
Please help! I'm a noob to this and have no idea how to fix it.

you can try reconfiguring your xorg.conf file from the recovery menu. When it says command not found...did you type it properly? or maybe envyng is not installed in recovery mode? anyways most nvidea drivers work with the hardware drivers program in ubuntu no need for envy.

I don't have a nvidia card or drivers mine is ATI. I don't know how to configure xorg.conf file that's what I was trying to do when I installed envy, which I did get to uninstall, somehow I typed it envynv instead of envyng 5 different times.
