Hi. I'm new to Ubuntu and linux, actually. I'm just going with the flow, following tips from inside the OS.
However, I clicked on Update Manager, which retrived all updates available, after installing it on last Friday. At this moment, some other updates were available and when I tried to install them, Ubunt ask me to free up some space, trash and so on using $ sudo apt-get clean. I did it but still has some 1 MB to free up.
My doubt is: I installed on an empty disk, partiontioned 10 GB each, and I still have 9.7 GB free space. The OS uses 53,6 MB only. What am I doing wrong part from not finding my question mark...

Something does not sound right with the space used for the of that you outlined. Can you post the output of typing

sudo fdisk -l the letter l not the number 1 to this forum.
