Guys I just want to know how many people get converted to ubuntu from windows or any other os for that matter ?

Unfortunately, estimating the number of Linux users at all is pretty much impossible, let alone estimating how many convert to specific distributions per year. :(

If your stat is based on users joined on this forum, it's not accurate.

Some people don't join forums, or use launchpad. Some would prefer mailing lists and phone. Such things :)

why not do a head count? so we take 2nd June 2008 as the start and shout out if we switched between then and 1st June 2009.
