After upgrading to 9.04, my computer cannot login. I DID get into the Gnome login screen but once I typed in my credentials and hit Enter, there were ugly vertical lines and after a few seconds I get kicked out back to the login screen.

After intensive Googling, I was able to log in by apt-get remove compiz compiz-core. I tried reinstall, complete remove and install of compiz but it didn't work. The problem stuck.

It appeared to me after upgrading, I have lost my hardware graphics acceleration. I figured this might be the reason, and this is what compiz-check and glxinfo told me:

Can you attach the file /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

Can you attach the file /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

Here it is. Although it was oversized so I got rid of some of the segments.

Someone PLEASE help. I've been googling with absolutely no luck. I can't use Ubuntu with no graphics driver. Thanks a lot -- anyone =)
