I've been dealing with boot issues for the past few days, and I finally got 9.04 fully installed. The only problem is that after installation, it seems my computer doesn't even recognize this OS. I can boot from the CD, and choose 'boot from first hard disc', but it will just hang there and not do anything. On the lower-middle of the screen is an exclamation point, and that's it. I installed it over Windows XP. Any suggestions please?

Also, share with us the specs of your computer as well as the vintage of the BIOS.

Did you check the liveCD for defects? And, if you remember, did you do a automatic (100%) install or a manual install? If manual, kindly share your formatting/partitioning method...

Just getting as much information as possible :)

Best,
