Hi All, I am a new ubuntu user. I work from home and am thinking to build a micro box tower using the silverstone SG01 case. I am looking for good advice on motherboard/video card combinations that will work well with ubuntu not sure if going to use newest or last stable version of ubuntu. am thinking to get a high end nvidia motherboard and gpu but not sure what kind of operability i will get from it. final goal of micro tower is to create research station that does media well and 2nd output to 42" flatscreen lcd monitor. hope is to setup 2 desktops each of which can be controlled with same keyboard mouse doing different stuff, ie one screen is my research screen and one is entertainment.

also, would be nice to do a 3 screen, two research one entertainment screen but i think i am going to need 2 gpu.

any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated. currently have ubuntu on laptop, not fond of how it works (or sometimes doesn't) but willing to overlook that on micro tower.

Cheers,

TR
