When I was updating from 8.10 -> 9.04 from Update Manager(?) or so, it asked me what I'd like to do with the GRUB menu. After selecting "further investigate in a new terminal" or something like that, my laptop stopped responding to anything. After rebooting and typed in my username and password, it says "screen isn't composited. please run compiz fusion or another compositing manager." I tried to restore the xorg.conf from backups but non of them worked. The worst thing is, now I can't even boot because it kicks right back to the login screen after I click OK on that dialog.
