how to install ubuntu server?

Hey, i have windows vista 64 bit. When i downloaded ubuntu server from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-server . I installed it on DVD-R disk and tried to run it. When i insterted the cd nothing happened, when i rebooted my computer the disk didn't load either (NOTE* DVD-ROM loads first in bios settings) . What to do?

I will read what you gave me in a sec. But i used winrar to unarchive the .iso format. And then, i put all the files into the burner!

Okay, i am done. So do i re-boot the computer for it to begin the install?
