I want to say 'Job well done' to the Ubuntu/Ubuntu Server people.

At BEL Project ( Business Edition Linux) our goal is to help small business and school users adopt Linux to be more productive.

We 'officially support' 5 distros currently that we believe represent the best of Linux for specific uses and just in general.

Ubuntu/Ubuntu Server is our choice as both a solid LAN server and as an education oriented desktop ( Edubuntu in particular.) It is very well documented with a very active community. Getting solutions for Ubuntu is one of the webs easiest tasks.

Our team members often browse the 'supported' distro forums, always on the lookout for tips and fixes for each distro as well as good ideas in general. Don't be surprised to see one of us in here looking for information to solve one of our small business/school users issues.

Also, if anyone in here is interested in learning more about working with and supporting Linux for small business and schools, BEL Project is always open to bringing on new team members to make our forums, wiki and irc channel the best they can be.

Thanks again for being, in our eyes, one of the best Linux has to offer.

is it perhaps possible to move this or maybe just post it again (I wouldn't think so) to the server platform section as that is where this is probably more relevant to that category of users?

mods, please advise.

Did you consider becoming an Ubuntu Partner and get listed right on the Ubuntu Web site?

See http://www.ubuntu.com/partners

That's not a bad idea. Perhaps we'll wait and see what kind of interest is generated before we go that far. To do so without a fair number of Ubuntu server/desktop business users under our wing is a bit like bragging, eh?

thanks for the suggestion.
