I enabled DMZ in my router to host a counterstrike source server for my mates and I was kind of suprised that enabling DMZ cripples my internet speed to extremely slow speeds.

What could be the cause of this?

Yes, I'm too lazy to google.

i have noticed this a few times too, its a bug, because it dosent happen under all routers, just a few... eg. when i was using the linksys firmware to do dmz, it would slow to a crawl, but when i upgraded to ddwrt, and enabled dmz, it worked fine (to this day).

I'll send them a mail regarding this problem.
