What's your last day of school?

Today was my last day of school, on May 29. It started around September 2, 2008. so, when does your summer vacation start, and what are you going to do over the summer? This is just a thread for all grade school, secondary school, high school, or college students out there. I live in the U.S, so we have 180 days of school that's necessary, but if you're in a different country, post your country and how long you're required to be in school for.

For me, I finally get more time to play around with Ubuntu!

EDIT: For me, school starts 7:50 AM and ends 3:00 PM.

I finished a week ago, 22nd, as Im what we in Ireland call Transition Year, a year between the Junior Certificate Exam, and the Leaving Certificate, in which you get to try out all kinds of different things, running a company, organising a music gig, the list is endless. All the other years however (bar the leaving cert year, who ended before us) finished on thursday.

Plans for the summer? Mucking around with computers mostly :S Earn a bit of money by fixing em up for people, and try to convince as many people as possible to use linux :D

I finished last Thursday (22nd), most students finished 2 days ago (28th), but students with State exams (Junior Cert. and Leaving Cert.) generaqally finish earlier in most schools (rest of students had end of year exams in their last 3 days).

I go back in next Wednesday for exams until the 19th, but they aren't run by the school so I don't count them, and of that most days I have one exam a day lasting 2-3 hours, there's a couple days I have none, a couple days I have two, free to go anytime I please... They were awesome a couple years ago, have a feeling this time I'll be too worried to enjoy it, since these ones are actually important :P

I started school September 4th, 2008. Graduating June 4th, 2009. SENIOR BABY!! School started at 8 and ended at 2:55 each and every single day. So. Close. To. Graduation. AHHH!!

I plan to learn how to program in Java over the summer, especially GUI stuff AND install linux on as many old windows computers as possible ( there are 3 in the basement)...maybe do some sauntering while i'm at it.

Started sometime in late August (around the 22nd). We have our last day of school on June 2nd and the graduation ceremony on June 4th.

I'm actually quite busy this summer. My brother is graduating college and I'm graduating high school, and to celebrate, we're going to Europe for 3 weeks. I'll be in Rome, Barcelona and Paris for a week each, flying out of San Francisco on June 16th.

Separately, my grandparents decided to take their children and grandchildren on a trip to Borneo. They're leaving San Francisco for Hong Kong on July 12th.

My brother and I, after 3 weeks in Europe, will be flying Paris-Washington, DC-San Francisco-Hong Kong-Kota Kinabalu over July 10th-12th. Yes, it's a lot shorter the other way around the globe, but somehow, it's cheaper to do it the long way. It'll be a long 48 hours.

Once I get back (July 26th) I'll be working until I head off to UC Davis for college on Sept. 19th.

My last day of school was back towards the end of 1978 (can't remember the exact date) but the learning continues.......... (ouch! although not the oldest on the forums that makes me feel old!)

My last day this semester was May 1, finals over May 8. My last last day of school will be early May of 2010, (I think May 10, 2009) and I will be graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I'm taking enough classes this summer to be "full time," but other than that, I've got no idea what I'm doing.

I don't get out, My college goes all year. I don't want to take a term off so I am going to stay in all year.

It's June 22nd here for me, however I got out today because I'm moving to Penticton, BC, Canada, a couple Kilometers from here.

IN 9th June because Im in the 9th grade so I'll have to do the final exam this year to be able to go to the high school, we could end school earlier but it snowed a few days so we could not go to school in all Kosova.

Happy to go to high school in the 26th is the final exam...
