I was looking over the list of mozilla based applications (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla-based.html) and came across Instantbird (http://instantbird.com/), I think it looks kinda promising. Thoughts?

So, it's like another Pidgin or Trillian?

As far as I can tell there isn't much difference yet, but it could get interesting if they decide to implement, voice, & video features, also who knows where it could go if people start making plugins.... I don't know I just saw it and thought it looked interesting.

They use the same libpurple as Pidgin, so they will only implement vv when Pidgin does, unless they create their own library. I see this as Pidgin implemented with the ugly XUL. Eck.

Not another open-source multi-IM client! But if Mozilla puts the effort into it, it will beat out the rest. Mozilla always wins!
