View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problems with partition editor and gparted with jaunty

Hi All,

I am trying to install jaunty jackalope as a dual boot along with windows XP. I already have 8.10 running. I am trying to replace 8.10 with 9.04. I am facing a weird issue with the partitioner.
During installation when the partioner comes up it does not identify any of my existing partitions. It shows my entire 160GB HDD as unallocated.
However when I use fdisk -l it shows me the proper partition table.
I also tried starting gparted and creating the partitions, but gparted is also showing unallocated. Has anybody faced this issue before. Please help me out.

Thanks in advance

I've had similar problems using the partitioner in Ubuntu 9.04. Suggest you download, burn, and use the GParted LiveCD from distrowatch.com. It does a better job.
