It wont detect blank disk i guess i need a driver but cant find one

I don't think so. It should be plug and play.

Are there any error messages when inserting the disc?

no it just dont detect blank disk but if i put in a disk with something on it it will

Check the SATA or IDE cable is connected properly and that BIOS sees the drive in the boot options - hard drive, cd, usb etc.

My computer works the same way as yours. Maybe I do know what I should, but what I do is put the blank cd in the drive and reboot. It then will recognize it.

Are your blank CDs the same brand? What if you burn something on that CD from another computer and try it to your machine after?
