Android on iPhone/iPod touch?

Hi folks, is it possible to install Android or Maemo on iPhone/iPod touch?

If it's not possible, what are the technical problems?

If it's possible, why nobody has done it yet?

I highly doubt it is possible. And even if it was, it would render your warranty invalid.

I doubt anyone looking to install Android or Maemo on an iPhone cares about the warranty. Once I get a chance to change phones or update my hardware (come on 32gb iPhone) I'd like to try.

They haven't got a lot of the required linux drivers working on the iPhone yet;



What we don't have (yet!):

- Write support for the NAND
- Wireless networking
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Accelerometer
- Baseband support

They would need to get the drivers working before even thinking about Android or Meamo on the iPhone. Seriously if you want android you might be best off waiting until a phone you like is released with android pre-installed.

Don't know. But I would like a media player based on Andriod, that is have similar functionality to the iPod Touch.
