Hi, I am off a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04. I usually browse a number of webpages at a time, due to free time. I encounter a problem frequently when I right click a link to open its drop down menu. Sometimes a single right click leads to its opening in a new tab, other times it causes Evolution to start, etc etc. Is there anyone that shares the same sentiment as me? Is this a bug or can it be worked on? I have used two different optical mice(mouses?) so I pretty much ruled out hardware problems..

I had similar wierd issues, I think what's happening might be that it's opening up the right click menu in a slightly unexpected place, and your single click is just clicking on the first option.

I don't have a fix for it, but maybe just holding down the button for an extra second to actually see the menu might solve it for you.

Very old and annoying bug. There are bug reports and have been for ages. No elegant proper solution yet.
