How to proceed with new desktop with only wireless network?

I'm about to get me a new desktop. I already run Ubuntu for over 2 years on my laptop so I'm about to completely kill MS!

Problem: I only have a wireless network in my house, no cables at all. My current 6 year old Dell only has a USB WiFi dongle and no way I get that to work at all :(

What do I need to pay attention to when buying a new PC?

I'm 99% sure that nearly all modern computers come with build-in wifi

Would that be a WiFi chip on the motherboard or through a WiFi card? I would prefer the first as that would mean same or similar setup as modern laptops and that usually works out of the box!
