Me too I had the same bug, if is this a bug.
I like the remix face, but I like more the classic desktop appeareance, so after I had installed the 9 UNR on my Acer Aspire One 110 L, and choosed the classical appeareance for the desktop and the reboot, my netbook gave me the only choice to format and format again and reinstall all the OS because the only page I got from the system was a brown page with the cursor and nothing else and the possibility to restart, shutdown or iber my system.
So I formatted the pc and I have chosen the default desktop with the three coulmns. But has somebody the solution to this or some suggestion to fis it?
If not this is a very unstable system in my mind and it is reminding me the first time I installed Linux Caldera 3 in 2000 on a pc when all needed a new reinstallation of the system. But this is not the Ubuntu I know and appreciate. Hoping to get further informations as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance
Francesco, Rome Italy.

Hello Brian and FTU,

Yes, there is a bug regarding the switcher. What happens is that you do lose the panels. There is a deb file you will need to install to correct. Until then, it is not advisable to use the switcher

Hello Ray I've followed your suggestion and I made it. With the updated release of the desktop-switcher, after the reboot all was working as I wanted. Thank you very much,
Francesco
