hello,

I'm getting a small laptop - no cd drive. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I install Ubuntu 9.04 from a memory stick (or flash card).

thanks

Another option is to install the Netbook Remix. It can be downloaded as an .img file, which is ready to be written to a FAT-formatted (usual default for most) USB stick of 1GB+.

It is easy enough to then install the rest of the default ubuntu-desktop if you so wish (and remove the netbook launcher).

Yeah if you're talking about a netbook (eeePC, AspireOne, Dell Mini, etc) I'd really recommend the netbook remix.
The interface is shiny!
