View Full Version : Installing Ubuntu Eee Problem

I installed Ubuntu eee with a sd card.. and then i restarted took the sd card out like it said to.. then this window popped up saying:


Ready to install? Once you answer a few questions, the contents of the live CD can be installed on this computer so you can run the system at full speed and without the CD.

Answering the questions should only take a few minutes.

Please choose the language used for the installation process. This language will be the default language for the final system. and there was 7steps to do.. I got all the way to 7.. and then got this message:


The installer needs to commit changes to partition tables, but cannot do so because partitions on the following mount points could not be unmounted:

/

Please close any applications using these mount points.

Would you like the installer to try to unmount these partitions again?


Options: Go back & continue Continue, just go's back a few steps to. Im new to ubuntu and i dont know how to fix this.

if you told the installer to import settings from XP, then read this thread, where the guy just restarted the install skipping that:

No, I didnt do that, I installed it over another linux Os.
