Hi guys, I am a newb to Linux world. First I tested Linux with a virtual machine, however, my needs for coding forced me to like Linux and now I have it as a host system. I have many programs that are equivalents to windows, but I need something to live in peace: an animatted dream background - wihtout this, I will never surviveto Ubuntu.
I have dreamscene on my windows, however I know I can't have dreamscene on Linux, wine will certainly not work.
So I made a few searches and I came up with the following threads:
People seem to talk a lot about the xwinrap program that I don't know, I don't have, and specially, I don't know how to install.
I also heard that people can emulate dreamscene with my favorite media player VLC, and that it has better results because it doesn't consume a lot of memory like dreamscene seems to do.
However, by making a quick search on this forum, I found out that this VLC trick only works for Windows .. not Linux ...
So, I am here asking for help, does anyone know how to emulate dreamscene on Linux please?
