I have a MSI ITX board with 6 rs232 (serial-ports) - and I really like to use them all. But the default kernel (Server install, 9.04) doesn't support more than 4 rs232's... :(
Now, I know I could "simply" build a new kernel from source, but this is not really a "simple" task for me. I had my first try building a new kernel today, and after nearly 3 hours of waiting for the process to finish, I lost internet connection (yes, working on private projects remotely from work...) for a few seconds...
Well - is there a shortcut to geting a kernel with support for 6 rs232 ports?
Thanks!
