I hope this is the correct place to post this and if this is not then i do apologize

Ok I am dual booting between Windows Vista and Ubuntu 9.04. The GRUB bootloader loads when i turn on the computer. But i was wondering if there was a way i can get a nice looking bootloader instead of the DOS looking text. I hope this is possible cause that would be great looking.

It is possible. Install startup-manager and download grub splash themes from gnome-look.org.

I use this one. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Einstein+-+Grub+Splash+image?content=93938

It allows you to change the grub loader theme, you have to download themes elsewhere. You need to be careful while using it though.

Talking about Startup manager, try grabbing bum-the boot up manager. Does a good job tweaking what starts up when u launch linux .

Viva is on the right track...

You don't want to actually change your bootloader -
GRUB is the best and the tiniest mistake in this area will leave your system unbootable.
