I have upgraded from 8.0.4 to 8.0.10 after applying all of the patches.
After upgrading to 8.0.10 I applied the patches. Then I applied the manufacturer's driver from the application bar at the top of the page ( at least that is what I thing I did).
The display seemed to be OK to this point.
I then applied upgraded to 9.0.4.
Now when ever the Fujitsu UMPC U810 reboots I get:
1. The Umbuntu boot progress logo and indicator.
2. A narrow vertical bar that flashes off and on several times.
3. 7 horozantal bands several of which seems to be garbled graphics.
I have tried to boot into the 9.0.4 recover mode.
The text based messages do not seem to include any errors.
I have tried executing dpkg and xfix with no success.
I can boot into root but I do not know what to do to mount the appropriate file system then correct the display issue.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you,
kendall
