I need help please with Ubuntu sound. I have the bongo's at start up. I have the sounds when i open Foxfire or anything else. I have no sound for Video or CDRom. I can go to You Tube and can see the vids but no sound? I dont have mute on, on anything that I can see. If I start an MP3 at start up it plays for a sec then stops? Pls help.
New to Linux BTW.

TIA

I think you're missing the audio codecs.

Try adding the Medibuntu Repository (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu) and installing the Restricted Formats (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/).
