Hi everyone,

Just did an in place upgrade via the Update Manager in Xubuntu from 8.10 with Array.org kernel (Eee 900HA) to the "official" 9.04 version.

Several times during the install and cleanup parts of the upgrade I was asked what I wanted to do with menu.plist. Primarily there were 2 options,to keep the locally stored version or install "maintainers version", with the default being to keep the current version. Since that was the default I left it at that every time it asked about it.

Can anyone help me understand what the menu.plist does? Should I have updated it or kept the local version upon upgrading the kernel?

Thanks for your time!
