What I have done so far can be found here:
http://craiglomax.wordpress.com/2009/04/15/ubuntu-cym-logo-designs/

I will toy with the idea of putting a daffodil in the middle of the logo which, in my head, looks super cool. I'll do a drawing or something.

Remember guys it'd be nice that if you did change the circle of friendship colour, that having a black outline would make it possible for us to keep our national colours, especially white! :)

Great efforts so far though, also CLomax would you like your blog to be aggregated to http://98.142.208.108/planet/ ?

Fix'd

I want to put a Daffodil in the middle but I can't find a good picture of one and they're all dead where I live. :(

I guess I'll draw it and try to GIMP it up as much as possible; that should be fun. :)

I used this Daffodil image which I think suited the logo very well: http://www.clker.com/cliparts/0/6/5/2/1194986565967389300daffodil_susan_park_01.svg.hi.p ng

There have been some good attempts so far, I've contacted the launchpad group as well to see if we have any more input from those who aren't already helping :). I now wish that I knew how to use GIMP or another other image manipulation program ;). Well done of the efforts so far and rugby471, have you had chance to look at your personal messages yet? :)

Even though I've done a graphic design AS level I can't use IM programs. I just played about until I got what I wanted.

Give it a go and post what you come out with here. Might be better than mine.
