Hi,
I tried wubi.exe for Ubuntu 9.4, but it seems not to do anything on my laptop. I even downloaded the r134 as mentioned in the sticky thread in this part of the forum. After extracting it's contents, all it seems to do is clean that up again. Nothing more. I have more then 12 Gb free on the harddisk, and I have internet connection, so those can not be the cause I think. I even downloaded the ubuntu desktop iso, but that does not work neither. And I verified the md5 checksums of both wubi.exe and the .iso download. It's not that my system is not ompatible, as I have Ubuntu 8.10 running, installed with wubi (I renamed the C:\wubildr* files and the C:\ubuntu folder, so that cannot be the issue too). Anybody a clue what can be the problem ? Any hints on what I could do to check certain things ?
