whenever i go to my gmail to browse through my drive to attach a file i see a list of items that is deleted from my computer

they all have this '~' on the back of their name

how can i erase those from coming out whenever i go to browse my drive

To hide these files left click on the list and uncheck
the "Show Hidden Files".

There is some applications that make backup like this,
make a copy then append a "~" at the end of the filename.

Gedit is one them. To deactivate this, open Gedit, go to
Edit > Preferences > Editor, and then uncheck the "Create
a backup copy ..."
