What's the meanings of thread and post in the option of SEARCH(url:http://forums.ubuntu.com/index.html).Maybe the thread mesns theme,and the post?
I'm a Chinese .My English is poor.Could you understand what I speak~~~As far as I know,the thread is something about proecess and the post means send not absolutely~~Could some one help me ~~Thank you~~

I'm not sure if I mean what you mean, but when you click on the little arrow right of the 'Search' entry in the menu bar, you may select 'Show Threads' or 'Show Posts'.

A little trying shows you that 'Show Threads' returns all threads that have postings in them which match your search query (this is the common search).
'Show Posts' shows only the posts that match directly, not the whole threads.
