I'm looking forward to start playing MMORPGs. So, could you guys suggest me some good free MMORPGs with quite a few online players?

Regnum Online is native to Linux. It is getting a major update too.

The second life client is GPL'd so its both libre and free.

Second Life is free, but you can't do diddly squat with the free membership.

Any one would do. I usually use Windows to play games, so you could give Windows suggestions.


Regnum Online is native to Linux. It is getting a major update too.

I've heard about that. I'll try it out.


The second life client is GPL'd so its both libre and free.

I'm not much into virtual life kinda things.

Windows has a pretty good variety of MMORPGs that are free.
-Last Chaos (I was addicted to this game.)
-Silkroad
-Flyff
-RF Online
-Cabal Online
-RAN Online
-Perfect World
-Dungeon Runners
-Guild Wars is 19.99 but after you buy it, its all free (unlike WoW)
-Fiesta

Just google them for their sites, it'll be a tough choice. :)

I'll second the Linux version of Regnum Online. I'm just doing the quests and wandering around the map at the moment.
The installer ran fine and all the updates ran with no problem. The game itself plays really smooth. If any other Linux users are on feel free to look me up the characters name is Wulven.
