I'm trying to install Ubuntu on my new external hard drive USB using unetbootin-windows-323 and can't boot up installer. I get message "Operating system not found". I have tried different sources, e.g new 9.04 live with no result. What is interesting I created super grub disk and tested it on another usb pendrive, which boots up without any problems, but the same super grub disk installed on my new USB external hdd does not work. So there seems to be problem with new hdd. In windows I see it as a primary NTFS. What should I do, maybe some kind of format is needed?

ok I think there is nothing that can be done so far :(

External Western Digital Drive (160GB) which I bought recently, simply does not boot up.

Watch out if you want to buy new external WD hard drive and use it to boot up any system via USB. Seems to be ******. I hasn't found any solution on the web.
