I can't run update manager at the moment due to living on campus and being behind the campus firewall.

I downloaded the package for wine 1.1.22 off the website but it's a "Tar archive (bzip-compressed) (application/x-bzip-compressed-tar)" type file. Obviously I know how to extract it but have no idea how to install it. What do I do?

You don't need to compile it from source--get the .deb pkg here (http://www.getdeb.net/release/3171) (i386/32-bit 9.04 Jaunty)
