Eek, Arent they a bit expensive? I got one from Asus for 290 USD dollars (With shipping) Also the specs where better than the both mentioned above.

I wish the was an option in the poll for "other".

Be advised that the Lenovo on offer at ebuyer is the 3-cell battery version, where some of the reviews are for the 6-cell version

It is a good price though I was looking at it myself. As long as you know. Also seems the RAM is stupid, 512mb soldered on so max is 1.5 not 2gb?

ps: ebuyer is free shipping too if you spend over 50quid!

I would vote for other if I could. I really like my Acer, and it was cheaper than either of those options.

I think that the Inspiron mini 10 uses the same chipset than the dell mini 12 I own (GMA500 Poulsbo). It sucks!. The linux support for this chipset is at best uncomplete. You can only install the distribution from Dell (they call it Belmont - and it is a 8.04 customization). Ubuntu and other distributions will not install, and at best you can start X in vesa mode.

Dell support is non-exiting and there are no clear information about the future support of this chipset in linux.

After 6 months fighting with my Mini 12, Dell notebooks with the GMA500 are not a way to go.

I got a Toshiba nb100, which came with xp, I soon wiped that in favour of ubuntu-netbook-remix. I'm really pleased with it. My only gripe was the misleading bluetooth sticker on the box. Misleading in the sense that it does not have bluetooth, but of course I can still use a usb dongle. Toshiba are completely unwilling to accept that they have acted in a way to dupe the consumer and refuse to supply me with an internal bluetooth doo-dah, but all in all, it's a great, trouble free netbook and accepts my choice of os flawlessly, even exceeding my expectations.

Guys thanks for your replies,Im going to go with the Lenovo.

Been as it has a bigger hard drive,Better graphics chipset and its cheaper.

It runs OpenSuse enterprise desktop 10.

I have another question.

The laptop has a 512mb stick of ram + the 512mb soldred in which is 1gb total.

im going to remove the 512mb stick and replace it with a 1gb stick to give me a total of 1.5Gb.

Will this work?
