I made a random trip into Town today, and guess what I discovered:

Looks like Linux-Magazine has made a Quarterly Magazine spinoff for all you Ubuntu crazed enthusiasts! :D
As great as this is, I have come to a very optimistic conclusion about it.
Will this mean that Linux Magazine, Linux Format, and other Linux Magazines/Journals will return to releasing issues with news/reviews based around other Linux distributions and/or Linux as a whole now?
I have been following how Linux Magazines have been releasing their issues over the past year, and have felt that they do tend to lean too much on Ubuntu with all their tutorials, tips, game reviews, etc, etc. And there is always an Ubuntu Linux CD/DVD that comes with them at most once every 2 months between them.
But it is not like they can help it. Whether you agree or not, Ubuntu is perhaps the most marketable and most frequently used (http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/which-linux-distribution-do-you-use-most-frequently) Linux Desktop OS there is in this day and age. And as the writer/editor who wants to sell and earn money, you must release issues that the majority are most likely going to be interested enough in it to buy.
Therein lies my second thought. Here, at least in my opinion, lies a silent divide. PC User, Mac User, Ubuntu User, Linux User.
To be honest, I was never aware of such distinction.
Anyways, thoughts and opinions are welcome, and if you get your hands on a copy, feel free to express your thoughts towards it.
Happy Ubuntu-ing (or whatever it's called).
Regards
Iain
