Okay I noticed the position of the volume changed (when you use the keys on a laptop or fancy keyboard for a desktop [my wireless keyboard for example]). It's in the upper right, but before it was in the lower middle.

I am using a theme that needs the volume there to be in the lower middle, is there anything I can do?

EDIT: this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6871246) is what I mean.

Very unfortunately, that is not yet possible. The 9.04 updated notification system has absolutely no configuration that I've been able to find.

It is possible to turn it off and go back to the standard notification though, and many have been doing that until they institute user control back into the notification system.

To do so, just forum search for it, and there are quite a few posts and answers on how to revert the 9.04 notification system back to the older system.

Hope this helps, and sorry for the bad news.

I don't use AWN regularly - but I noticed during my Jaunty break-in period that there is a
?new? Notification plugin that seems to specifically intercept the new notify system.

The screenshot was taken a few minutes ago on my Laptop running Jaunty.
