View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problem booting from latest install CD

I just downloaded the Ubuntu 9.04 desktop download and wrote it to CD. It all seemed to go fine, no errors. I put the CD in my laptop (Thinkpad T42, which normally boots ok from CD). It came up with some kind of copyright notice, then said:"unknown keyword in configuration file
boot: "

Pressing return, it just kept repeating that message. Since it got the copyright notice, the CD can't be completely wrong, but the message smacks of there being something wrong with the data on the CD. It's annoying.

Anyone got ideas? My brain is tapped out of booting ideas, I've had the worst week with that. :(

I don't know if there are bump policies here, and if so, I apologise, but can anyone at all help me, or am I on my own with this?
