fails to update

When I try to get updates I get the following message.

What should I do?

Yeah, I'm getting the same problem and am quite new to Ubuntu so don't know what to do :confused:

The system wants to use the install cd as one of it's sources. You can disable this by opening Software Sources or Synaptic and going to Settings, Repositories and unticking the CDROM option in the lower window. You may also have a CDROM reference in the Third Party tab.

ADDED: Now that you have posted the sources.list, you can disable the "deb cdrom..." line by placing a # symbol at the start of the line so it looks like this:

You can edit sources.list with this command:


gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
