View Full Version : [ubuntu] Unable to install Ubuntu 9.04 !

Hi, im not verry special upfor Ubuntu installing session, but im reached it now,
ive gotten a new Stationary computer, and i've tried to install jaunty on it.
but the install.ISO missing some files to be complete, and "it fails under install because this files are missing.
What can i do for getting theese files?/ i can't even install 8.10 since i lost my old image for it.

any help for this problem?

I would be glad to get a solution so i can get UBUNTO on my PC again.

Sorry, don't have an image handy right now to do the comparison but do have a couple of questions:

First, where'd you get the 9.04 image? Download from Canonical? Via a CD or DVD from Canonical? From some third-party download site? Asking because if you didn't get it from the link below, it might not be a valid image:

http://releases.ubuntu.com/jaunty/

Second, how did you create the CD (presuming you burned it yourself): did you burn the ISO image? Or did you extract the files from the ISO image and copy them to a CD? Asking because if you did the latter, it might be missing some hidden or protected files.
