Any idea?

It's a bit hard to help you unless you can provide some more information. What's the website address? What error do you get when you try to open the site?

Does your University's site use flash or java as a main component?

I'd-recommend trying Midori, dog. I had a problem with my hotmail account not working with firefox but webkit handles it fine. These are some of the quirks you have to deal with in an ms dominant-world.

Without a test login we can't say anything but this may be also a coding problem instead of *nix problem
