cant turn on my gateway wireless with ubuntu 9.04

Hi,

I just upgraded to 9.04 and lost my wireless-my fault, I allowed it to reformat my HD and now have no wireless or sound. Can someone help wit a download aor setup for this machine; Gateway laptop model 7515?

Have you checked in System>>Administration>>Hardware Drivers? (I know, --kinda lame response, but I had to ask).

Thanks for the response. I did check there and nothing to help. It's some driver that Gateway had that was wiped out by Ubuntu.

You might have to use ndiswrapper. Don't know much about it, just google it.
PS if you end your google querry with - ubuntu, you're bound to find some forum threads.
