Repairing an install back to "virgin" state.
A friend shipped me a PC he had installed Ubuntu 9.04 on.
(Which version of 9.04 I don't know.)
The problem is, the Username and Password he said he set up, won't work to login. What's the quickest way for me to fix this, short of wiping the drive and starting over??
Can I download an Ubuntu boot CD and do some kind emergency repair?
Thanks in advance! (TIA)
