This seems pretty urgent, since the laptop batteries catch fire.

By the way, even though I don't own an HP laptop, I just wanted to help get the word out before the recall ends, because my Toshiba laptop battery's recall ended 2 years before I ever even knew about the recall.

I already duped HP last July into shipping me a replacement battery for free when the battery life got too low. I guess it's time for another, but this time legitimately. :)

Thanks.

This has got to stop.

This is what... the FOURTH laptop battery recall in two years? If laptop batteries are still catching fire after they were supposedly "fixed" or "redesigned" (after the original Sony recall), then this is something where federal governments should step in for the sake of public safety.

Battery manufacturers need to fix the problem and fix it now, before someone's house burns down because of an unattended laptop.

I believe my battery may be affected. I have to check which model number but my Laptop series is affected, but haven't checked the individal battery.
