firefox broken on security update(again)

My girlfriend ran the security updates and it updated the xulrunner which has now broken firefox again.

Is there any way to roll back the installation so that I have the original version of xulrunner?

the firefox error i'm getting is:



user@home:~/Desktop$ firefox
Could not find compatible GRE between version 1.9.0.1 and 1.9.0.*.
user@home:~/Desktop$


I have to finnish my exams today and I would rather not have to do a reinstall as that would take up a lot of my time.
