Since it's Blizzard, just don't believe any release dates, then you'll be excited when it comes out. I'm also a big fan of Diablo II, though I don't play it in Linux.

I've kind of just forgot about it, no reason to wait around for them.
I hear it's going to be great

I play a game with other users in the network called:
"SSH bully"
Actually it's just me stopping and starting random things on other computers in the network to annoy my family members.

I don't game on my PC any more. I have even given up Counterstrike Source.
I now exclusively game on my PS3.
I'm currently playing COD4 (online multiplayer) and COD 5 ( online co-op & online nazi zombies) and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 (which looks incredible).
On Ubuntu I tested Open Arena, Alien Arena, Warsaw, Sauerbraten, ... and they all sucked monkey balls using my ATI card.

I play lots of the silly, fun 2D games. Holotz Castle (http://www.mainreactor.net/holotzcastle/en/index_en.html) [mainreactor.net] and Meritous (http://www.asceai.net/meritous/) [asceai.net], both in the repositories, are pretty good.
I play a few games with Scumm. My favourite being Broken Sword.
Beyond that, I mainly play emulated Playstation games: Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Fear Effect, Silent Bomber, Silent Hill. That sort of thing.

I play Flightgear, using the KFreeflight GUI frontend.
I also play Nethack.
Both of these are in the repositories, but KFreeflight has to be manually installed.

Civilization IV under Wine. It runs really well. This was one of the reasons of keeping Windows XP installed on a separate drive on my pc. After I got it running properly under Wine I also ditched Windows XP.

I got a World of GOO demo on a linux format DVD (also available at http://2dboy.com (www.2dboy.com). Its one of the best games I have played in a long time I ended up buying it on wiiware as i prefer to relax in front of the tv. The site has some interesting stats.
It’s only been 2 days since the release of the Linux version and it already accounts for 4.6% of the full downloads from our website. Our thanks to everyone who’s playing the game on Linux and spreading the word. Here are a couple of nifty stats:
* About 12% of Linux downloads are of the .rpm package, 30% are of the .tar.gz package, and 57% are of the .deb package.
* More copies of the game were sold via our website on the day the Linux version released than any other day. This day beat the previous record by 40%. There is a market for Linux games after all :)

none, because all of the games on ubuntu either suck , are another generic deathmatch clone with little/no/bad innovation, or a game that i already beat (such as prey).

I rarely play any games on PC, after working all day the last thing I want to do is spend some more time sitting at my desk so I prefer consoles. But I do enjoy Wesnoth and classic RPG/adventure games on emulators.

You get brownie points for being a Sierra fan! I've played the QFG series since I was like three years old. I was terrible at it then, but that's how much I loved those games.
Have you played AGDI's QFGII remake, perchance?
